Elon Musk is emailing the federal government–the entire federal government–demanding classified intelligence.
On Saturday night Musk posted on Twitter/X that all federal employees would be receiving an email demanding a synopsis of what they did last week. Failure to respond would be deemed a resignation. Within hours, emails began circulating to federal employees demanding summaries, insisting on a five bullet point reply.
One of the problems here (and there’s got to be about 5000) is that many federal employees’ work deals with classified information. But given Musk’s frequent denials of fathering his many children through normal methods, we can expect Musk to be short on public coituses to give.
An anonymous source in the intelligence community was asked how he would respond if he receives one of these emails. He explained that he would reply simply asking “Is this valid?” But a second anonymous source suggested she would raise alarm bells.
“If I receive a suspicious email asking me to reveal information about my classified work, I would immediately report it to the FBI.
While that might have seemed like the right thing to do in old times, those days are gone. And in light of recent efforts by the Department of Justice, and the confirmation of Kash Patel as FBI Director, any individuals reporting Musk to law enforcement should expect to become the targets of investigations themselves.
